I was very excited at the opportunity to rebrand the Adelaide Film Festival as an assessment at TAFE. The theme was titled “life matters”. I interpreted this as everyone matters and important. To apply this concept, I used the face as a symbol to represent this concept. It is symbolic of people and their identity.
The brief specified a contemporary design. So I used current trends such as bold colours, hand drawn illustrations and grunginess to represent a modern style and aesthetic.
Chalk illustrations would be drawn throughout the Adelaide city. This was used to promote the theme, keeping consistent with the brand’s hand drawn illustrations. It was a lot of fun to solve this brief!
